It's Sunday, mid afternoon, Olov is away picking up a new charger for his laptop and Kaya is passed out on our bed.

We've already had such a busy day, a walk this morning with Kaya and a meeting with some of the neighbour hood dogs to get them all tired out.

I'm sitting and refecting on things, music and churches, dresses and tuxedos, bridesmaids and groomsmen, family meeting for the first time..  YIKES!

537 days feels a lot shorter than it looks.

On the up side of things we bought our rings on Thursday and they will be ready to pick up on Thursday next week. We decided to get simple gold bands for our engagement rings, So that our wedding rings can be a bit more extravagant.... I like it!  But the process of choosing a ring was long and felt like it was never going to end.

On the one thing we should probably agree on we could not agree... How is that?

But it's Sunday and we went to Ikea this weekend, our apartment is looking super fly at the moment and I can't help but enjoy this my last day of the weekend.

Okay a little wedding a little not.

Olov and I were thinking about what would make the reception a little funny and decided on a little game for when one of us leaves the room..

The days are counting down and I can already tell I'm a little wedding'd out. I think the excitement of the engagement and everyone being so excited has worn me out a little.

That and the intense working out I've been doing, I'm tired..

Valentines day has come and gone, I don't know why there is so much hype about it, I think it's better to express your love for someone all the time instead of saving it up for one day.

Although Olov told me that a guy he knows bought his girlfriend a star.... Oh to be newly in love!

I think I'm happy with this slower pace of wedding planning, we plan on renting a car after pay day to drive around and look at churches together and have a quiet day together. After that we can look at reception halls, but perhaps the church will have a reception hall now that would be perfect.

Anyways.... slow and steady, there is no rush. calm and enjoy it all. that's a better way. RIGHT?

Where is my Mom????

These are the moments when I wish I was living in Canada, somewhere close to my Mommy if not in the same city.

I want to do girly things like look at dresses with her, and do other wedding related things. I want to have someone who will go to the gym with me as much as I want to and encourage me to work out even when I don't want to.

I miss my Mom today..

A meeting with Orietta at our favourite pub Duvel and a stack of wedding magazines from America and England.

Going over almost every aspect of the wedding and chatting about the perfect dress and music and walking down the aisle, what is our first dance song, are we going to say our own vows?

so many questions and thankfully so much time to answer them. I don't envy people who get married within a few months of a proposal. It must be stressful and hard.

I don't want to leave things till the last minute. I like the ease at which things are going now, slow and steady.

Oh yes and I got my wedding planning book in the mail yesterday and I am sure it's going to be incredibly helpful, I can see it will be my right hand bitch for the next 559 days..
